Judicial Services Exam are conducted at two level
I. Entry level for Civil Judge/Magistrate
II. District Judge level
I.Exam at entry level is conducted by High Court in collaboration with State Public Service Commission in some state by High Court or Public Service commission alone.
-Eligibility criteria requires aspirant to be:-
a. A citizen of India
b. LL.B. Degree holder from any recognized university
II. Exam at District Judge Level is conducted by concerned High Court for the State.
Eligibility Criteria requisite for post are :-
a. Aspirant should be a citizen of India
b. A law graduate from recognized university
c. In practice as an advocate for a term not less than 7 year in continuation
d. Not less than 35 year of age on cut off date
Category: CLAT For LL.M.
CLAT offers admissions to both national and NRI candidates in the One Year LL.M. Course offered at various NLUs and other institutes/ universities accepting CLAT Scores.
CLAT Age Limit:
There is no upper age limit set for appearing in the examination.
CLAT Eligibility:
1. Academic Qualification – Aspirants appearing for CLAT LL.M. Program should have secured a minimum percentage in qualifying examination (i.e. LL.B./ 5-Year Integrated LL.B. (Hons.)/ any other equivalent exam). The marks vary as per candidate’s category.
- For Unreserved /OBC /Specially Abled Persons (SAP) and other categories: a minimum of 50% marks are required.
- For SC/ ST category – a minimum of 45% marks is required.
- On the date of admission, he/ she must have passed or appeared in the final semester/final year examination of the qualifying examination.
- Submit the final result of qualifying examination within the time frame prescribed by the respective University/Institute. Till then such candidates are given provisional admission.
- General Criteria – In case of equal marks, the tie-breaking procedure is as follows:
- Higher age, the tie persists then;
- Computerized draw of lots will be taken into consideration.
Category: L.L.B Entrance Exam
CLAT Age Limit:
As per the revised standards, there will be no upper age limit for UG Program in CLAT 2020.
CLAT Eligibility:
- Academic Qualification – A candidate must have secured minimum marks required in 12th standard, as per the category to which s/he belongs:
- For Unreserved /OBC /Specially Abled Persons (SAP) and other categories – A minimum of 45% marks required.
- For SC/ST Category – A minimum of 40% marks required.
- General Criteria – Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in April/May 2020 are eligible to register for Common Law Admission Test. They must submit an evidence of their successfully clearing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they will lose their right to be considered for admission.
- Submit the result of qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2) at the time of CLAT Admission.
- In case of equal marks, the tie-breaking procedure is as follows:
(i) Higher marks in the section of legal aptitude in CLAT 2020
(ii) Higher age
(iii) A computerized draw of lots
Category: UGC-NET Exam for Law
University Grants Commission determines the eligibility criteria for candidates. UGC NET 2020 Eligibility criteria is different for JRF and Assistant Professorship. During the time of online application form filling, candidates have to specify in the application form whether they want to apply only for “Assistant Professor” or both “Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor”.
Highlights of UGC NET 2020 Eligibility
- Master’s Degree holders with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for reserved candidates) can register for the exam. Apply Now
- Students in the final year of the master’s program or waiting for its result can also apply for the exam.
- Ph.D. degree holders who completed their master’s degree before September 19, 1991 will be given a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks.
- Applicants must not be more than 30 years of age as on June 1, 2020 to apply for Junior Research Fellowship.
- SC, ST, OBC, PWD, Transgender and Women candidates are given an age relaxation of up to 5 years.
PUBLIC PROSECUTOR ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
